A composite door is a type of external door built from several different materials, renowned for strength and durability. A composite door usually has a hardwearing and weather resistant exterior glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) skin, housing a thick timber or insulating foam core.
Our composite doors are made from a 44m or 48mm thick door panel with insulating materials inside. They keep the heat in and the cold out with a U-Value or BFRC energy rating that meets the most up-to-date Building Regulations.

There is no difference between a composite door and a GRP door. GRP, or glass reinforced plastic, is the outer layer of a composite door that sits over the insulating core. It is very strong and durable. Alternatively, the term GRP door my refer to a garage door, which can be made from GRP.
