Tilt & turn windows are very similar to casement windows but they open in two ways as opposed to one. Turn the handle up 90 degrees to tilt the window inwards from the bottom, or turn the handle all the way up to open the window inwards from the side. In tilt mode the window is only slightly open for controlled ventilation, and in turn mode it opens wider for full ventilation.

When the handle is down, the window is fully closed and the locking gear engaged . Add more security by adding a key locking option for your handle. When locked, it means the handle button can’t be engaged.
Tilt Mode
To engage Tilt mode, push the handle button and turn the handle 90 degrees to the right. In this mode, the window tilts in vertically from the bottom, but only slightly, for controlled ventilation.
Turn Mode
To engage the turn mode, push the button and turn the handle upwards either 180 degrees from locked, or 90 degrees from Tilt mode. In Turn mode, the window opens inwards from the side for full ventilation.

Are tilt and turn windows more energy efficient?

How do you clean tilt and turn windows?
Tilt and turn windows are easy to clean as you can do the inside and outside from within your home. Simply use warm soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge to wash the glass and frames. Thoroughly rinse with clean water before using a squeegee on the glass to prevent streaks, and dry the frames to leave a bright finish. It’s also a good idea to vacuum the inside of the frames to remove dust or dirt.
